Review:

I’ve had the mower for several weeks and found it trouble-free. It came fully assembled, although a nut was loose and needed reattaching.

I was impressed with the overall mulching capability which made the grass clippings disappear at just about any mowing height, as long as the grass is not very thick. I found that only occasionally would any grass become stuck to the underside of the deck and even then it would not interfere with mowing. Because the mulching worked well, I haven’t bothered using the grass catcher, although I am glad that it is not one of those annoying side bags.

The mower does tend to temporarily get bogged down in thick grass, as does any electric mower because of the lower power relative to today’s gas mowers. And of course the mower started up every time without any difficulty (it does take a few seconds to reach full RPM)

I also liked the single control for adjusting mower height.

I feel that the convenience, reliability, and safety of the lawnmower make up for the inconvenience of the electric cord and lower power compared to a gas mower…at least for for my 0.2 acre piece of property. Compared to some other electric lawnmowers this one has a larger deck, a rear bag, and more powerful motor–all valuable attributes that help compensate for inherent electric mower tradeoffs.

Conclusion:

This is a great mower for small lawns and for people who hate the loud noise from gas powered mowers.
The only caution I would give is to make sure that you use the right kind of cord with the mower. This is no problem as the instruction manual clearly advises of the necessity to use the correct gauge or cord size. Following the chart included in the manual, I picked up the correct cord at the hardware store.
